Our CEO Luigi Montanelli told the story of CleanAir Europe on the Italian podcast Idee Imprenditoriali.
In the episode, Luigi looks back on almost thirty years in business. It starts with the family company in Lecco, where filter bag cages were only a small niche, and moves on to the decision to turn them into a business of their own and take it worldwide. Transporting such a bulky product can account for up to 30-40% of its price, so the natural path was to manufacture close to customers: first in the United States, then in India, starting from scratch.
The conversation also covers innovation in a traditional industry, from the EcoHPC treatment to the EcoSmart, EcoAtex and EcoSense projects. It then turns to the decision, rare in industrial B2B, to accept Bitcoin payments, and to the new European air quality directive, which could give the sector a significant boost.
